Alma felt that whatever happened to Shiblon among the Zoramites demonstrated that his son could always trust in the Lord. Now Alma wanted to share with Shiblon an abbreviated version of his own encounter with an angel of the Lord. He wanted to bear witness that he gained his testimony of the gospel the hard way.
