All righteous fathers hope to find great joy in their sons because of the sons’ steadiness and faithfulness to God. And even though life is hard—and it has to be so, for our sake—as long as we will put our trust in God, the promise is that we will be “delivered out of [our] trials, and [our] troubles, and [our] afflictions” and at the last be exalted.
