It is remarkable that the sons of Mosiah were able to use the brass plates to help thousands of Lamanites obtain a testimony of Jesus Christ and abandon the traditions of their apostate forefathers. Alma even hoped it might also help the Nephites awaken and recognize the dangerous waves of apostasy which were beginning to sweep over the land.
