“Joy As Exceeding As Was My Pain”

There is no anguish or pain associated with suffering for sin that is not more than matched by the joy that comes from having done so. True repentance is always attended by a spirit of rejoicing (see Mosiah 4:3). Indeed, when we seek a remission of sins even the angels in heaven rejoice over us (see D&C 62:3).
