“Remembering”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

As we learn to remember continually the goodness of God, we will be motivated and strengthened to keep His commandments. Alma entreats Helaman to hear his words and to learn from him. He teaches him to trust in the Lord, that the Lord will support him in all his trials and tribulations and lift him up at the last day. Too often we fall short as parents in actually teaching our children the word of God. We do many wonderful things, but we sometimes leave it to seminary and the Church auxiliaries to teach the precious word of God to our children. We are the ones responsible to teach our children (see D&C 68:25–28; Mosiah 4:14–15). Let us remember to devote ourselves to the sacred duty of bringing the word of God into the lives of our children and those whom we love.
