It seems significant that the very first thing Alma chose to teach was one of the major themes of the whole Book of Mormon: “Inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God ye shall prosper in the land” (see also v. 30; 37:13). “Remembering” is a righteous focus with Alma, and it becomes so with Helaman (Helaman 5:5–14).
