“Concerning Prayer or Worship”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

Alma continued the subject of his great discourse. The people wanted to know how they might obtain the fruit of which he spoke, or how they could know the truth and receive faith. This recalls the inquiry of King Lamoni’s father, “What shall I do?” (Alma 22:15). The key questions are once again asked and answered. (Repetition is God’s way of teaching his children.) How do we plant the seed? How do we have faith? Answer: By prayer and by study of the word. Prayer or worship may be done anytime, anywhere. Then, as other scriptures add, we must go out and do something about it—serve!
