“Any More Than Faith Is a Perfect Knowledge”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Once more Alma noted that faith does not constitute a perfect knowledge. Even so, he concluded in his exhortations, that his words alone were not final in establishing the truth in their hearts. His mere stating of a truth, he implied, does not make it stable in their hearts, nor does it fix it immovably or firmly in the hearer's mind. In this verse, Alma in speaking of his words, notes: "Ye cannot know of their surety at first, unto perfection, any more than faith is a perfect knowledge."
