“Thou Wilt Be a Spirit Forever”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Here we gain a subtle insight into the doctrinal stance of the Zoramites: they were anti-Christs. To say that the God to whom they addressed themselves—presumably Jehovah—would be a spirit forever was the same as saying that “there shall be no Christ” (verse 16). That is, they denied the condescension of the great God, the incarnation, the divine sonship of Christ.
