“I Remember; I Also Remember; I Have Always Remembered”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Missionary work is an exercise in remembering. All too frequently we come to take our blessings for granted—we tend to forget the goodness and mercy of God when left on our own. But when we reach out and teach others the plan of redemption and watch them go through the mighty change, we are revitalized in our convictions. We remember what it was like to become a new person in the Lord. We recall His matchless blessings unto us. Watching converts being lifted up through the Spirit reinvigorates our memory of having gone through the same thing. Alma brings this powerful thought into our minds and helps us to remember our blessings and discern the hand of the Lord at work in our lives today, just as it was from the beginning of our conversion. Do we remember always the blessings of the Lord?
