“They Were Firm in the Faith of Christ Even Unto the End”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

What is said of the people of Ammon is what can be said of all true converts: they were known for their zeal, and “they were perfectly honest and … firm in the faith of Christ, even unto the end”; that is, they were solidly committed to the cause of Christ. There was no problem of inactivity among them (compare commentary at Alma 23:1–13). On the meritorious attribute of firmness, see commentary at Jacob 3:1–2.
