“Perfectly Honest and Upright in All Things”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

See Alma 23:6; Alma 24:19. “He that is righteous is favored of God” (1 Nephi 17:35). Such was the case with the people of Ammon—a people “perfectly honest and upright in all things,” a people “firm in the faith of Christ,” a people who looked upon their past sins with abhorrence, a people who because of their abiding faith in the atonement of Christ and the power of the resurrection did not fear death. Surely the heavens rejoiced over them, and the righteous of all generations ought to emulate them.
