“The Amalekites”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

The Amalekites, who personify the spirit of apostasy—having once partaken of the fruit of the tree of life and then turned against it—now devote the whole energy of their souls to fighting God. Since they can find no success in war with the Nephites, they turn on their brethren the Anti-Nephi-Lehies, seeking their destruction. All who have embraced light and truth are, of necessity, their enemies.
