“We Might Save Some Few of Their Souls”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

When the idea first surfaced to go save the Lamanites, people laughed at the missionaries. Some Nephites even thought, Stop all this nonsensical talk about converting them; let’s kill them and rid the land of their gross wickedness. But the missionaries persisted. They wanted not to destroy but to save—even a few. The Lord had miraculously turned their own lives around; they knew he could do the same for the lost Lamanites.
