“Thousands of Them Do Rejoice”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Gospel principles, properly understood, cause the hearts and souls of men to rejoice. It is prophesied that when the lost sheep of Israel return to the fold of God in the last days, they will do so “with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads,” that in their conversion they will experience “joy and gladness,” and that “sorrow and sighing” shall flee from them (see Isaiah 35:10). Even in the pre-existence when the plan of salvation was announced, “the morning stars sang together, , and all the sons of God shouted for joy” (Job 38:7).
