“Oh, How Merciful is Our God! a Testimony to Our God; We Shall Go to Our God and Shall Be Saved”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

The Anti-Nephi-Lehies are prepared to follow the exhortation of their king and honor a covenant of peace by refusing to take up arms against their brethren. The framework of the covenant is to be the mercy of the Lord. His mercy has lifted from their shoulders the burdens of sin, and His mercy will in turn lift them up unto Him in the event they should lose their lives in honoring their covenant. Thus they bear testimony to their commitment by burying their swords deep in the earth. In our day, what is our own testimony before the Lord? Are we willing to live up to our covenant commitments? How do we witness our sincere commitment before Him?
