“What Shall I Do That I May Have This Eternal Life?”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Aaron gives the king the formula for having the blessings and power of hope and salvation. We can have hope of eternal life as we repent and act in faith.

The goal of happiness and eternal life is achieved by keeping the commandments and enduring cheerfully to the end. The sins of commission and omission that so easily beset us are to be turned into acts of righteousness. We are to abstain from sin and give up things that have no eternal value. We are to be about our Father’s business and not about the things of life that have no lasting value. What will we do to have the joy of eternal life? What will we give up that we might have the blessings of heaven?
