“Just Men and Holy Prophets of the True God”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
This is a remarkable expression of testimony on the part of Lamoni. Of men he has never met, he confidently testifies that they are “just men,” which is to say that they keep covenants with exactness and honor; they are “holy prophets,” which is to say that they are men of genuine sanctity and righteousness; and theirs is the “true God,” which is to denounce all other forms of worship as spurious and devoid of the power to save or bless.
