“Their Hearts Had Been Changed”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

There is power in the word of God. There is a transformative influence that comes through bearing testimony of the truth of the gospel. When we receive the word with a willing heart, the desire to do evil will recede and vanish. A mighty change of heart is the result of truly being born again, with no disposition to do evil but to do good continually (see Mosiah 5:2). A changed heart brings about a changed life. Are our hearts changed? Do we have a strong desire to do good? Have we found strength through the Spirit to say, with the Savior, “Get thee behind me Satan” (Luke 4:8)?
