“Abish”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

This woman (whose name is pronounced AY-bish) has been converted unto the Lord many years previous because of a remarkable vision of her father, the details of which we are not told. She has kept this fact a secret among her Lamanite colleagues, but now, observing the remarkable manifestation of the Spirit upon her mistress the queen, as well as upon the king and his servants and the Nephite visitor named Ammon—all of whom have fallen to the ground in a kind of spiritual rapture—she deems it prudent to inform the people of this good news. Being touched with the spirit of missionary work, she desires to share the warm feelings of her heart with her neighbors and associates in the city.
