“Overpowered by the Spirit”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

Awaking from the trance into which he had fallen, having been overpowered by the Spirit, Lamoni testifies that he has seen the Redeemer and prophetically announces his birth by a mortal woman and his redemptive ministry. The power of Lamoni’s testimony has the same effect on his wife as Ammon’s words had had upon him. Together Lamoni and his queen fall into a trance wherein the revelations of heaven will be manifest to them.
