“The Dark Veil of Unbelief”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Darkness and unbelief are inseparable companions. Thus the Saints of all ages have been commanded to learn the truths of the gospel that they might chase darkness from among them (see D&C 50:25). Indeed, the “world groaneth under sin and darkness even now,” the Lord declared. And of the Latter-day Saints he said: “Your minds in times past have been darkened because of unbelief, and because you have treated lightly the things you have received,” having specific reference to the Book of Mormon and other revelations of the Restoration. (See D&C 84:53-57.)
