Some have been critical of Ammon’s response to Lamoni, knowing that God is a corporeal being and, thus, more than just “a Great Spirit.” In fact, Ammon’s statement is technically correct. The God of the Old Testament was Jehovah, who had not as yet obtained a body of flesh and bones.
