“Amulek Having Forsaken All His Gold”

Brant Gardner

Amulek’s acceptance of the gospel has cost him all his material wealth, his friends, and his kindred, including his “father.” (See commentary accompanying Alma 10:4, 11.) Were his wives and children among those who believed and were slain by fire, or did they reject his testimony, too? In either case, Amulek has no home, no family, no connections—no one who is obliged to watch out for him.
