“His Mind Also Was Exceedingly Sore Because of His Iniquities”

The narrative supplies physical symptoms: such weakness that he is bedfast and overheated with the “burning fever.” No wonder Zeezrom desires to be healed. Parallel to these physical ailments, however, is the “exceedingly sore” sufferings of his mind “because of his iniquities.” He does not differentiate between them as he asks Alma and Amulek for healing.
