This verse tells us that Alma and Amulek were visited and questioned, but we do not have enough information to know the context of what was being questioned and why. We can be certain from the following verses that the visiting lawyers were not interested in listening to the preaching of the true gospel. Their visits clearly had the intention of some discomfort for Alma and Amulek.
