“The Order and Faith of Nehor”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Nehor was a large, powerful, and persuasive man who organized a church in the first year of the reign of the judges. His church was founded on the doctrine of universal salvation. He held that all were to be saved; none were to be lost, and none were to fear for that which they had done. He also introduced the idea of a ministry built upon the principles of priestcraft. The teachers of liberal doctrine expect liberal support. See Alma 1:1-15.
