This last statement in this verse is ominous. When evil men cannot cope with the teachings of good men they begin thinking of murder as the only solution to their problem. The teachings of Alma and Amulek had so aroused the feelings of hatred in their hearts that these disciples of Nehor were trying to plot ways and means of secretly killing Alma and Amulek.
