“Of Him They Have More Particularly Made Mention”

Text: The phrase, “of him they have more particularly made mention,” indicates that Melchizedek’s story is not exclusively oral. “They” are those who have written religious histories. Furthermore, the comment that “they” had made particular mention of Melchizedek confirms that more material was available to the Nephites, both about Melchizedek and about similar prophets, than what remains available today.
