“After This Same Order”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
The priesthood held by the Nephites traced itself back to the Old World. The requisites, discipline, and order were one and the same. As with all gospel principles, to understand them in one age is to know and understand them in all ages. In the days of Adam it was promised that the “same Priesthood, which was in the beginning, shall be in the end of the world also” (Moses 6:7). Thus we can say that all mankind may be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel, and that those laws and ordinances and the priesthood by which they must be administered are everlastingly the same.
