Now Alma wants to talk about the second body of laws or carnal commandments which were given to Israel to prepare them for the coming of Christ. The city of Ammonihah were not obeying those ordinances of the laws of carnal commandments, let alone the higher laws of the gospel which were given to Adam in the very beginning. Alma is ready to tell the story now of how Melchizedek saved the city of Salem which was as wicked at the city of Ammonihah.
