“Being Left to Choose Good or Evil”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
This phrase affirms the existence of good, evil, and agency in our first estate. The scriptural declaration that God gave us agency in that estate (see Moses 4:3) also attests to the existence of good and evil, for without these agency would have been a needless gift.
