Antionah is trying to pick up where Zeezrom has left off. This is not a sincere question, but one designed to trap Alma. What Antionah is trying to do is suggest that Alma is contradicting scripture. To make this point, he contrasts the most recent statement by Alma, that a man might live forever in his sins, with the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden, where the way was blocked to the Tree of Life specifically to prevent them from living forever in their sins. In Antionah's eyes he has just caught Alma in a major contradiction with the scriptures.
