“Zeezrom Began to Tremble”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

The impact of the Spirit impresses itself upon the locked mind and hardened heart of the lawyer. Why does Zeezrom tremble? Because of the consciousness of his guilt and iniquity in denying what he knows is true—that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only sure foundation for salvation and eternal life—not worldly power, not money, not professional mastery, not fellowship with secular associates. We need to embrace the gospel with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength (see D&C 4:2; 59:5)—lest we find ourselves trembling in fear and guilt as does Zeezrom.
