“By the Prayers of the Righteous That Ye Are Spared”

Brant Gardner

Rhetoric: Amulek creates a strong argument. The destruction will be caused by the voice of the people, embodied in the lawyers, choosing unrighteousness. However, the prayers of the righteous, who are not included in the people’s voice, have held back the destruction. The danger could be eliminated permanently if all of the inhabitants became righteous, thus tipping the voice of the people toward righteousness.
