To establish further himself as a man of truthfulness and sincerity, Amulek called upon his many friends to witness his straightforwardness and honesty. By his habitual diligence in pursuit of whatsoever he put his hand to, Amulek's industry brought him riches greater than many had who now derided and denied the words of his missionary companion.
All these things, Amulek's lineage and his community standing, should have had a bearing upon the treatment accorded him by his fellow citizens of Ammonihah.
