“Ye Are a Lost and a Fallen People”
People remain forever lost and fallen until they come unto Christ through forsaking their sins and putting off the natural man. Lehi taught that “all mankind were in a lost and in a fallen state, and ever would be save they should rely on this Redeemer” (1 Nephi 10:6; see also Mosiah 3:19; Mosiah 16:3-5; Alma 12:22; Mosiah 42:6-12).
