“His Course is One Eternal Round”

W. Cleon Skousen

Notice that Alma confirms that the pattern of the gospel and the atoning sacrifice of the Savior is based on eternal principles that God follows with each round of creation. In fact his course is one eternal round after another, consistently following this same pattern. Alma also wants to affirm that those who want to receive the glorious fruits of the gospel must qualify themselves for it. He says:

“And he doth not dwell in unholy temples; neither can filthiness or anything which is unclean be received into the kingdom of God; therefore I say unto you the time shall come, yea, and it shall be at the last day, that he who is filthy shall remain in his filthiness.”
