“Suffer No Ravenous Wolf to Enter Among You”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
The honest and sincere truth-seeker is always welcome in the congregation of the Saints. During his visit among the Nephites, for instance, Christ commanded them to meet together often and added, “Ye shall not forbid any man from coming unto you when ye shall meet together, but suffer them that they may come unto you and forbid them not; but ye shall pray for them, and shall not cast them out; and if it so be that they come unto you oft ye shall pray for them unto the Father, in my name (3 Nephi 18:22-23). Such a commandment does not suppose that we would welcome a wolf among us. We have no obligation to provide the devil with a platform to promote falsehood and advocate sin, nor can we tolerate the desires of evil and conspiring men who seek to prey upon the Saints.”
