“Redeem His People from Their Sins”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Sin is ever the enemy of salvation. Christ did not come to redeem people “in their sins, but to redeem them from their sins” (Helaman 5:10; compare Alma 11:37). Salvation is like entrance into the temple; all are invited to enter and receive its blessings, but none can do so unless they are striving to keep themselves from sin.
