“He Preached the Word Unto Your Fathers”

Rhetorical: Alma once again brings the past into the present. This might change occurred in the past for Alma the Elder. When Alma the Elder came to Zarahemla, he organized churches, and that same "mighty change" happened in the hearts of the fathers of those seated in this congregation. Just as Alma the Younger could speak of his father's conversion and then move to his own, he is urging his audience to do the same. They too will understand the change that their fathers made, and then understand that they also will have to make such a change.
