“Retained in Remembrance”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

This preamble to Alma’s speech is a reminder to remain ever conscious of the blessings of the Lord to our progenitors. We are defined by our actions in the context of our heritage as part of God’s family. The application is clear: We are to do whatever is requisite to remember the goodness and mercy and loving-kindness of God. If we forget, we will be disposed to go the ways of the world.
