“Redeemed of the Lord”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Because of Christ’s atonement, Alma could, through his own repentance-which repentance embraced a most “exquisite” punishment (Alma 36:21)-be redeemed of the Lord. That is, he could be freed from the dominion and power of Satan to enjoy the peace and love of heaven. (See verse 25.)
