Alma Wrote Down the Words of the Lord

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

So that he would have always before him the Lord's own words concerning the proper way to handle the transgressors, Alma wrote down the words of instruction he had received. He was strengthened thereby, and now felt worthy to judge the members of the Church who had fallen into sinful practices. There was only one course for him to follow, and the Lord had pointed that way. Alma was loyal to God and his fellow men and in that fidelity which increased in him as he ministered to their needs as well as their shortcomings he began to reap a plentiful harvest to them that brought peace and prosperity to the Church, and who walked "circumspectly before God, receiving many, and baptizing many."
