“Forgive One Another”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Forgiveness of others is the key to complete repentance and forgiveness of our own sins. Taking offense is caused by the inability to understand or forgive another. Taking offense is a choice we make. To contend is a choice we make. To be unforgiving is a choice we make. There will be people who, through ignorance or weakness of the flesh, will do things that are unseemly and unkind. If an offense is dropped—don’t pick it up. Our test is to act as the Savior would act, do the things He would do. This is easy to say—but it is doable. Are we easily offended? Are we forgiving? Do we hold grudges?
