“For It Is I That Taketh Upon Me the Sins of the World”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

The Lord of Life is eager to remit sins to those who come unto him and join his Church through repentance and baptism. In speaking of the Savior’s readiness and willingness to receive those who will receive him, Nephi wrote: “He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.” (2 Nephi 26:24.)
