Yahweh now makes a third covenant. The first two were communal covenants that were shifted to the church. Now Yahweh makes a specific individual covenant with Alma. He shall have eternal life (Yahweh’s promise), and he shall serve Yahweh and “gather together my sheep (Alma’s promise).
