In the words alone The Lord’s commendation appears to center in the willingness of Alma to accept Abinadi’s words, and those baptized at the waters of Mormon to accept the testimony of Alma. They did not require the additional testimony of a second witness. Special blessings accrue to those who accept the word of the gospel without stubborness of heart (see Alma 32:16).
