strtoupper('“M')osiah\strtoupper(''S') People Were Struck with Wonder”

When Mosiah's people beheld Alma and those of whom the records spoke standing before them, and that Alma's group had come through the ravages of war and bondage, they were amazed. But their wonder and amazement were turned into sadness when they thought of their brethren who had been slain by the inhuman Lamanites, and they shed many tears over their kindred dead.

Again, when they listened to the marvelous deliverances wrought by heaven in behalf of Alma and his faithful few, the assembled thousands raised their voices to God and gave thanks and renewed their pledges of fidelity to Him.

Still another shade of feeling came across their sympathetic hearts, even of pain and anguish for the sinful and polluted state of their Lamanite brethren, when their condition was explained to them.
