That ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter] As the faith of our pioneer forebears stands as a witness to modern Latter-day Saints that the Lord is in the work, so the testimony of Alma’s people would stand as a witness to their posterity that the hand of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is ever extended to his chosen people.
